Olenable Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit, use one of our extensions (ex: Chrome, Outlook), or make a purchase from (the “Site”).
To embed Olenable eLabels into emails we use extensions. For web-based email these are browser extensions (ex: Chrome). For client-software these are plugins (ex: Outlook extension). For iOS this is a special keyboard that works similar to an emoji. These extensions all work similarly. They make sure you are logged into and prompt a login if you are not. When pressed, they signal to Olenable you want a label. The software then creates the label and sends back the URL that points to the image and information to embed it (ex: an img tag and anchor link). This enables communication (for now, email) recipients to click, tap, or scan a label to verify it is legitimate. We store that you created an email on a specific day at a specific time but nothing about the contents of the communication. In the future, we may use the contents combined with an AI to create a better, more customized label, but we do not do that now. We will never store the contents of your email. We may store a one-way hash to ensure the recipient email is the same as what you sent but this cannot be decrypted by us or, absent known tools, anybody else. However, we do not do this now. We may also store when somebody views the email but do not do this now.
